Dr. Prema is a Board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who specializes in Incontinence issues with women. She completed her internship at Yale university, and her residency at Mount Sinai hospital in New York. Dr. Prema also completed her fellowship in Urogynecology at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. Since her board certification, she had worked at various clinics in Florida and in northern California. For the past five years, Dr. Prema owns and operates her specialty clinic, "The OB/Gyn and Incontinence Center" in Arcadia CA. She is a sought out specialist in performing minimally invasive surgeries for incontinence and various pelvic disorders. She is a frequent speaker on women’s health issues specifically in incontinence and Urogynecology.

Dr. Prema received her comprehensive medical education in India where she was exposed to women's health issues in a diverse setting. She learned her knowledge and skills with hands on exposure delivering primary care to poor women in the Indian villages. Once completing her education in India, Dr. Prema came to the US and performed her residency at various prestigious institutions like Yale University and Mount Sinai. She also received post graduate fellowship training in Urogynecology at Cleveland Clinic. During her intensive training in New York city hospitals, she gained valuable experience in handling various types of conditions and diseases.

Dr. Prema has been practicing medicine for the past 22 years. She is a highly skilled urogynecologist and gynecologic surgeon. She has spent many years in extensive post-fellowship training in order to achieve special expertise in advanced techniques to treat urinary incontinence as well as pelvic organ prolapse, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, abdominal surgery for large fibroids as well as laparoscopic surgery for many fibroids. While being an expert in these fields, Dr. Prema has a conservative surgical philosophy and often recommends either non-surgical management or minimally invasive surgical treatment for both urogynecologic and gynecologic health problems.
